The kingdom of Zeal is by far the most magical and exciting place in the game Chrono Trigger. Ruled by Queen Zeal with an iron fist and floating on top the rest of the world, Zeal was a place that was truly ahead of its time.

Unfortunately, this magical kingdom floating in the sky could not be enjoyed by just anyone. To be allowed to live there, you had to be able to use magic. Those not able to use magic lived on the ground below, and were highly disrespected by the magic users.

Those able to live in the wonderful kingdom enjoyed carefree lives among the clouds. Sleeping and practicing magic were everyone's favorite pastimes. Everyone felt safe, protected by their powerful queen. However, everything abruptly changed and Zeal was destroyed when the queen summoned Lavos.
